Four days at a castle in Germany. You travel with the team by bus. Clubs from the Netherlands and Germany join for the weekend. Carnaval falls in the same week, so bring a costume.

What you train
Two sessions a day
This camp is for kids who already train. You drill and roll with new partners. The coaches correct you on the mats. Beginners are welcome if they train at the club. If the sport is new to you, start at the club first.
BJJ (Gi)
Technique, positional rounds and live rolling. You work with partners from other clubs.
Grappling
Wrestling and submissions without the gi.
Fitness circuit
Ladder work, jumps, reaction drills and push up games. This circuit is made for grapplers.
Outdoors
A long walk in the Alme valley. Outdoor games between the sessions.
Gymnastics Planned
Stretching, strength, mobility and cartwheels. This work makes you move better on the mats. We still confirm the coach and the time slot.

This is the schedule for each day. The times are indicative. We adapt to the group, the weather and the mat schedule.

- Saturday and Sunday. The weekend. Clubs from the Netherlands and Germany arrive on Friday evening and train with the group.

Carnaval on camp
Costumes are
not optional.
The camp is in the February school holiday. Carnaval is in the same week. On Saturday evening we make a costume party at the castle, with everyone there. Bring something ridiculous.
Travel and stay
The bus and the hostel
Be at Parking Bodart, Veilingweg, 3001 Leuven at 06:45 on Thursday morning. The bus leaves at 07:00 and does not wait.
We leave Wewelsburg at about 15:00. We are back at Parking Bodart at about 20:00. The drive takes about 5 hours. Traffic decides the exact time. We keep the parents informed.
Shared rooms in the Jugendherberge, next to the castle. The hostel gives bed linen. Do not bring your own.

Price
Three ways to join
Pick the option that fits. All three include the hostel, all meals and all training. The difference is the transport and the number of nights.
Option 1 · All in
350 euro
Thursday to Sunday, 3 nights. You travel with the team.

For parents
The Brasa coaches travel with the kids and supervise the whole trip. A small number of parents come as helpers. If you want to help, write it in the registration form. Helper places are limited.

Who can join?
Kids from 8 to 16 years old. Your child needs some training experience.
Clubs from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany are welcome.
Beginners are welcome if they train at the club. If the sport is new to your child, start at the club first.
What is in the price?
There are three options. All in is 350 euro: Thursday to Sunday, 3 nights, with the bus from Leuven. Self drive is 250 euro: the same 3 nights, but you bring your child yourself.
International is 150 euro: Friday evening to Sunday, 2 nights, own transport.
All three include the hostel, bed linen, all meals, the afternoon snack, and all training and activities.
You get the payment details after your registration.
Is food included?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and the afternoon snack are all included. You do not pay extra for food during the camp.
Can we travel to Wewelsburg ourselves?
Yes. Clubs from Germany, and families that live closer to Wewelsburg, can travel there on their own.
The bus is a large part of the price. Without it the full camp is 250 euro instead of 350.
You can come for the full camp, or for the weekend only at 150 euro.
Can we join for the weekend only?
Yes. Clubs from the Netherlands and Germany do not need a full week off.
Arrive on Friday 12 February in the evening, after dinner. You sleep 2 nights, you train on Saturday and Sunday, and you travel home on Sunday afternoon.
You travel to Wewelsburg on your own, so the bus is not in your price. This option is 150 euro.
Can we join with a group from another club?
Yes. A coach can bring a group of kids from their own club.
The registration form has fields for your coach details and your club information. Fill them in and we contact you to arrange the group.
Must my child be independent?
Yes. Your child must go to the toilet and take a shower without help.
The coaches supervise the group. They do not help children to wash or to dress.
My child has an allergy, a diet or medication
Write the allergy, the diet or the medication in the registration form. Give us the details, also the doses and the times.
The hostel prepares the meals for the allergy or the diet. A coach keeps the medication and gives it at the correct time.
Can parents come along?
Yes. A small number of parents come as helpers. Write it in the registration form if you want to help. Helper places are limited.
Parents can join the long walk and the evening activities. The training sessions are for the kids, so parents watch instead of train.
How are the rooms arranged?
Kids sleep in rooms with other kids. Girls and boys sleep in separate rooms. Women and men also sleep in separate rooms. We do not mix the sleeping rooms.
We make the room plan ourselves. We cannot promise that your child shares a room with a specific friend.
Is there wifi?
Yes. The hostel has wifi.
We still advise you to leave phones and game consoles at home. The kids have a full program.
How do I reach my child during the camp?
You get an emergency phone number of a coach before departure. Call that number, not your child.
We contact you at once if something happens to your child.
Where does the bus leave from?
Parking Bodart, Veilingweg, 3001 Leuven. Be there at 06:45 on Thursday 11 February. The bus leaves at 07:00.
The bus comes back to the same place on Sunday 14 February, at about 20:00.
Where do the kids sleep?
In the youth hostel at Wewelsburg castle: Jugendherberge Wewelsburg, Burgwall 17, 33142 Büren, Germany.
The hostel gives bed linen. Do not bring your own.
What documents does my child need?
A valid identity card (kids ID) or a passport. The camp is in Germany, so every child needs one.
Look at the expiry date before you register. A new document takes time.
What does my child bring?
Read the packing list on this page. The short version: a gi, a grappling kit, warm outdoor clothes, a carnaval costume and toiletries.
